WHEN YOU HAVE TO GO OUT OF THE WAY

(Revelation 5:9–10, NLT) “And they sang a new song with these words: “You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth.”
(John 4:4, NLT) “He had to go through Samaria on the way.”
1. CELEBRATE GOD’S LOVE – WORSHIP IS MY DEEPEST NEED.
(John 4:13–14, NLT)”Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.
(John 4:15, NLT) “Please, sir,” the woman said, “give me this water! Then I’ll never be thirsty again, and I won’t have to come here to get water.”
“I worship in the presence of God as I recognize that in him I find everything that my life demands. And I find that in myself I am incomplete everywhere. A sense of my need and God’s resource produces the act and the attitude of worship.” -G. Campbell Morgan
Praise spontaneously overflows from my joy in the Lord.
(Psalm 40:16, NCV)“But let those who follow you be happy and glad. They love you for saving them. May they always say, “Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 40:16, NCV)
2. PASSIONATELY FOLLOW CHRIST – WORSHIP IS OUR GREATEST NEED.
“Go and get your husband,” Jesus told her. “I don’t have a husband,” the woman replied. Jesus said, “You’re right! You don’t have a husband—for you have had five husbands, and you aren’t even married to the man you’re living with now. You certainly spoke the truth!”
- Worship is centered in Jesus and His promise to be with us.
- Jesus fills us with His love.
- The Holy Spirit uses God’s Word to shape our character.
- We live in a new community, called Woodland Church.
(Zephaniah 3:17, NLT)” For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
3. PERSUADING PEOPLE – WORSHIP IS CONTAGIOUS CHRISTIANITY.
(John 4:19–24, NLT) “True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
(John 4:28–30, NLT) “The woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?” So the people came streaming from the village to see him.”

- Go out of your way to share your story.
- God out of you way to reveal God’s glory.
