(Matthew 6:33, NLT) “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need”
1. Trust in God Completely
(Philippians 4:19, NLT) “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus”
2. Living in Obedience
(2 Corinthians 5:21, NLT) “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ”
(John 14:23, NLT) “Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them”
(John 14:15, NLT) “If you love me, obey my commandments”
3. Seek the things of God
(Colossians 3:1-4, NLT) “Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory”
(Matthew 6:19-21, NLT) “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be”
“Only one Life, Twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.”
“Only one life, yes only one, soon will its fleeting hours be done. Then, in ‘that day’ my Lord to meet, And stand before His Judgement seat; Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.” -C.T. Studd
4. Share the Good News with others
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4, ESV) “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures”
(Mark 16:15, NLT) “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone”
Growthwork
1. Begin each decision by praying for wisdom to discern God’s will
(James 1:5, NLT) “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking”
2. Prioritize prayer and seeking God’s presence daily
(Matthew 6:6, NLT) “But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you”
3. Study and meditate on God’s Word daily
4. Engaging in fellowship with other believers for encouragement and accountability
(Hebrews 10:24-25, NLT) “Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near”
