JOY FOR A GOOD LIFE

(Hebrews 10:10, NLT) “For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.

(Leviticus 20:7–8, NLT) “So set yourselves apart to be holy, for I am the Lord your God. … I am the Lord who makes you holy.

(2 Corinthians 5:17, NLT) “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

1. GOD HAS A POWERFUL PLAN FOR OUR LIVES.

(Ephesians 3:20, NLT) “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

2. WE DO THE POSSIBLE; GOD DOES THE IMPOSSIBLE. FAITH

(Philippians 3:12–14, Message) “I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.

GROWTHWORK

MEMORIZE THESE THREE PHRASES:

1. Come Down – Justification

(John 13:5, AMP) “Then He poured water into the washbasin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the [servant’s] towel with which He was girded.

2. Come Out – Sanctification

(John 11:43–44, NLT) “Lazarus, come out!” And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in graveclothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him go!

3. Come Home – Glorification

(2 Corinthians 5:8, NLT) “Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.” (Psalm 128, Message) “All you who fear God, how blessed you are! how happily you walk on his smooth straight road! You worked hard and deserve all you’ve got coming. Enjoy the blessing! Revel in the goodness! Your wife will bear children as a vine bears grapes, your household lush as a vineyard, The children around your table as fresh and promising as young olive shoots. Stand in awe of God’s Yes. Oh, how he blesses the one who fears God! Enjoy the good life in Jerusalem every day of your life. And enjoy your grandchildren. Peace to Israel!
