(Psalm 117, NLT) “Praise the Lord, all you nations. Praise him, all you people of the earth. For his unfailing love for us is powerful; the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever. Praise the Lord!

(Luke 2:8–14, NLT) “That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.

PRAYER

“Heavenly Father, thank you for opening my eyes tonight. God, You are good all the time! I can see that I am more flawed that I ever thought; however, I am more loved than I ever dreamed I could be. By faith, I turn from my old life of sin to follow Jesus, who took my sin and pain to the Cross, so that I could be saved, and receive Him into my heart as the Lord of my life. From this Christmas Eve forward, help me to live for Your glory by Your power. Thank you for preparing for me a forever home of love, peace, and joy with You and all who love the Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
