(Deuteronomy 28:2–6, ESV) “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.”
Knowing God’s Word is fundamental to God’s blessings.
God wants to bless me.
(2 Chronicles 16:9, NLT) “The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”
God wants me to be a blessing.
(Ephesians 2:10, LB) “It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others.”

Serving God by blessing people will…
1. Produce joy in my life.
(Philippians 4:4–5, LB) “Always be full of joy in the Lord; I say it again, rejoice! Let everyone see that you are unselfish and considerate in all you do. Remember that the Lord is coming soon.”
2. Build healthy relationships.
(Proverbs 11:25, Message) “The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.”
3. Result in a blessed life.
(1 Corinthians 15:58, NLT) “Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”
(Proverbs 10:7, GNB) “Good people will be remembered as a blessing.”
(Psalm 112:1–9, NLT) “Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever. Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly. Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly. They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.”
