(Genesis 1:31, NASB) “God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.”
(Ephesians 5:8–9, NLT) “For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.”
(Genesis 4:2–9, NASB) “Abel was a keeper of flocks, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. So it came about in the course of time that Cain brought an offering to the Lord of the fruit of the ground. Abel, on his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and for his offering; but for Cain and for his offering He had no regard. So Cain became very angry and his countenance fell. Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? “If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.” Cain told Abel his brother. And it came about when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” And he said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”
1. ALWAYS ANSWER YES, LORD!
(John 11:27, NASB) “Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world.”
2. DAILY ASK TO DO GOD’S WILL!
(Matthew 6:10, NASB) “‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.”
3. ACT ON WHAT I KNOW IS RIGHT!
(Luke 6:46, NASB) “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?”
4. WHEN I GET OFF COURSE, QUICKLY ADJUST!
(Psalm 143:10, NASB) “Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”
5. ALLOW GODLY PEOPLE TO SPEAK INTO YOUR LIFE.
(Proverbs 27:17, NASB) “Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another.”
6. LIVE FOR THE ULTIMATE GOAL; TO KNOW GOD BETTER!
(Galatians 4:9, NLT) “So now that you know God (or should I say, now that God knows you), why do you want to go back again and become slaves once more to the weak and useless spiritual principles of this world?”
